Joshua Gordon begins his first season as an assistant coach with the Red Ravens Track and Field program. Gordon oversees the Sprints, Hurdles and Relays and also serves as Assistant Director of Student Life here at Coffeyville. Prior to joining the Red Ravens, Gordon served as a volunteer assistant coach at Utah State University from 2017 – 2018. He also coached at Green Canyon High School (2017) and Birmingham High School (2016).
Gordon also worked as an Adjunct Instructor at Utah State University teaching Exercise Physiology & Fitness Assessment and Exercise Programs. He has published research in the field of Exercise Science and also holds the certification of Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Gordon graduated from Utah State University in 2018 with a Master’s degree in Health and Human Movement, and California State University Fullerton with a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He holds school records for both schools and also qualified for the NCAA West Regional championship in the 400m (2015), 200m (2017), and 4x400 relay (2017).
