Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Baseball Team took care of business in a weekend series against Eastern Oklahoma State College, winning three of four games, with a doubleheader sweep on Friday (Feb. 20th) and splitting a doubleheader on Saturday (Feb. 21st).

In the series opener, Coffeyville scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, with runs batted in from Colton Reudy, Shawn Bareno, and Coen Miller. The second game of the series saw the Ravens take another early lead, with three runs in the bottom of the first inning, and runs batted in from Shawn Bareno and Max Irwin. Kyle Provence had two hits and two runs scored, and Omar Ruiz pitched five scoreless innings with seven strikeouts, while Nicholas Westendorp earned the save, getting the final seven outs with five by way of the strikeout.

Command plagued the Ravens in the lone loss of the series, with the pitching staff allowing 11 walks and nine hits in a 12-1 defeat. Coffeyville could only muster two hits in the game, and grounded into three double plays.

The Red Raven offense found their swing again in the series finale, with 16 runs on 18 hits to claim the series victory. Nathan Tajchman had five hits and three runs batted in, with Brady Shackelford and Caden Riojas collecting multiple hits as well. Haden Arterburn earned the win with four innings on the mound, while Rider King collected a three-inning save.
