Earl Henry
Linebacker (1998-99)
Earl Henry grew up in Wichita, Kansas where he was a 1998 graduate of Wichita West High School.
Henry excelled on the field at Wichita West where he was named to the Wichita area All-City First Team as a Linebacker in 1997. Henry also placed third in the state in Wrestling (171 lb) his junior year and was state runner-up his senior year.
While a sophomore at Coffeyville, Henry racked up 137 tackles which still stands as the record for tackles in a season for the Red Ravens. While with the Red Ravens, Henry was elected Team Captain and was voted MVP for the 1999 season.
After Coffeyville, Henry played two years at Pittsburg State where he served as a team captain in 2001. Henry was an NCAA Division II 1st Team All-American in 2001 and was selected as the Most Outstanding Player for the Gorillas in 2001. During the 2001 season, Henry had an overall 146 tackles for the Gorillas which ranked him sixth in the nation.
