#12 Red Ravens Take Care of Business Defeating Dodge City 80-67

Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Basketball team took their newly minted #12 NJCAA ranking and easily defeated the Conquistadors of Dodge City 80-67.  With the victory, Coffeyville improves its overall record to 14-3 including a 10-1 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) matchups.

Coffeyville shot out of the gates to start the game building a lead throughout the first half to go into halftime almost doubling up the Conquistadors on the scoreboard with a 51-26 halftime lead.  The Red Ravens cooled off a bit in the second half but were still able to cruise to the 13-point 80-67 victory.

Game leaders for Coffeyville included freshman forward Abdul Kuta who posted a 22-point 12 rebound double-double while freshman Daniel Ntambwe posted his own double-double with 14 points and 13 rebounds.  Sophomore Brian Griffith added 15 points and sophomore Charles Caporaso added 10 points and 9 rebounds.

Next up for the #12 ranked Red Ravens will be a road matchup against the #13 ranked Barton Cougars on Saturday, January 18th.  Tipoff in Great Bend Kansas is set for 4:00 p.m.
