Coffeyville, Kan. - The #8 NJCAA ranked Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Soccer Team opened up their 2022 season with a commanding 4-0 victory over the Bucks of Rich Mountain.
The first half saw the Ravens and the Bucks feeling each other out with both defenses pushing back attacks from the other team. However about midway through the second half, #8 ranked Coffeyville's offense just overwhelmed Rich Mountain. In a span of about fifteen minutes midway through the second half, Red Raven freshman Ayoto Kaneki, sophomore captain Pedro Branco, freshman Baraka Kania, and freshman Calvin Scholten all put the ball in the net to give the Red Ravens an explosive 4-0 lead in the match. Coffeyville coasted out the remainder of the game to earn the early season 4-0 victory.
Coffeyville has a quick turnaround as they head to Hillsboro Missouri to play the Jefferson County Vikings on Saturday, August 20th. The kick-off in Hillsboro is set for 4:00 pm.
