Strong Start for Raven Track and Field
Coffeyville, Kan. - Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Track and Field got off to a strong start in 2026, competing in the Arkansas Invite last week.
The program competed with numerous D1 programs during the meet. Head Coach Robert Wood says it's a great opportunity for the program to show their skill and talent.
Sophomore runner Latrell Johnson won the 400m race, beating runners from D1 programs such as Tennessee, Arkansas, and Iowa. Wood says it was a strong start for one of JUCO's most talented runners.
The Red Ravens now shift their attention to the Pitt State JUCO/NAIA Challenge this weekend. Wood says there have been some challenges in preparing for this weekend.
Red Raven Indoor competes each weekend up to the Region 6/KJCCC Indoor Championships on February 21st and 22nd, and the NJCAA Nationals on March 6th and 7th.
