Red Raven Softball Goes 1-3 on Opening Weekend
Tishomingo, Okla. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Softball Team with first-year head coach Ashton Friend opened up their 2025 season with a 4-game series played Saturday (Feb 1st) and Sunday (Feb 2nd) at Murray State in Tishomingo Oklahoma. On Saturday's games, Coffeyville lost their opening game of the season 9-1 to the #3 NJCAA-ranked Murray State. The Red Ravens bounced back in their second game of the day to defeat the Conquistadors of Dodge City 5-2. On Sunday, Coffeyville again lost to Murray State 8-0 and were defeated by Dodge City 12-8 to end the 4-game opening weekend.

Red Raven freshman first baseman Kaylee Henderson had 2 hits and freshman Winter Beaver had an RBI in the Ravens' 9-1 loss. Freshman right-hander Emma Nelson picked up the loss as she allowed 6 earned on 8 hits.

Red Raven freshman Raya Eilert clubbed 3 doubles in the game while sophomore Hailey Isom had 2 hits and 3 RBIs. Sophomore Jadyn Roberts also had 2 hits in the game. Freshman Katelynn Siess earned the complete game victory going 7 strong while allowing 2 earned on 4 hits. Sieiss struck out 10 while walking only 1.

The Coffeyville bats were not able to gain a hit vs Murray State. Freshman Katelynn Siess was tagged with the loss on the mound going two and a third while giving up 7 earned on 7 hits.
