Raven Softball Returners Eager to Lead Program
Coffeyville, Kan. - Coffeyville Community College Red Raven softball is ramping up for the 2026 season, and a trio of sophomore returners are excited about the potential for the team this spring.
Coffeyville was selected to finish eighth in the preseason predicted order of finish, with a blend of freshmen newcomers and uncertainty a pair of early-season questions for the program. Sophomore returner Katelynn Siess hit .343 in her freshman season, as well as spent 82 innings on the pitching mound. She says it's been crucial for the sophomores to step up and be vocal for the rest of the group.
Another key returner for the Raven offense is outfielder Raya Eilert, who hit .359 with 13 extra-base hits in her first season in Coffeyville. She says the returners take pride in being a part of the group that can change the standard.
Infielder Kaylee Henderson is the team's third and final returner, hitting six home runs and driving in 35 runs in her freshman season. She adds that the freshman class has hit the ground running, and are ready to make an impact.
Red Raven softball opens their season with Friends Unviersity JV on February 12th, before the team's home opener on February 24th against Metropolitan Community College.
