Red Raven Softball Drop 4 Games on Southern Road Trip
This past weekend, the Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Softball team hit the road for an afternoon doubleheader in Tishomingo, Oklahoma, against the #1 NJCAA Division II-ranked Murray State on Friday, as well as a doubleheader on Saturday against North Central Texas College in Gainesville, Texas.
Coffeyville struggled against #1 Murray State, losing 14-0 in the opening game and 16-1 in the second game. Sophomore Raya Eilert led the Ravens offensively, going 2 for 5 from the plate with an RBI and a run scored.
Against North Central College on Saturday, the Ravens lost the first game 9-1 and dropped the second game 16-4. In the opening game, freshmen Scartlett Archuletta and Emma Lara both went 2 for 3 from the plate with an RBI.
The Red Ravens will return to action on Thursday, March 5th, with a home doubleheader against Rose State. Game times at Byers Field are set for Noon and 2:00 p.m.
