Red Ravens Sweep Doubleheader vs Metropolitan
Kansas City, MO - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Softball team traveled to Kansas City, MO, and swept a doubleheader against the Wolves of Metropolitan CC, 9-7 & 4-3. With the two victories, Coffeyville improved its overall record to 5-9 on the season.

The Ravens jumped out early with a 7-0 lead after 3 innings and then hung on for the 9-7 victory. Raven sophomore Kaylee Henderson and freshman Kylee Copeland both homered in the game for Coffeyville while sophomore Raya Eilert went 2 for 4 in the game.

Coffeyville scored a run in the top of the 8th inning to get the extra-inning victory. Kaylee Henderson stayed hot, going 3 for 4 in the game while driving in 3 runs. Pitching for Coffeyville included righty Gabrielle Simons going 5 innings scattered 5 hits while allowing 2 runs. Sophomore righty Katelynn Siess pitched the final 3 innings, allowing no hits and no runs to finish off the game.
Coffeyville will return to action on Saturday, March 14th with an afternoon doubleheader at Byer's field against Marshalltown CC. Game times set for 1:00 & 3:00 p.m.
