Raven Softball Takes Leap Forward in 2026 Season
Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven softball team turned in a 2026 season that showed tremendous growth and promise for the future of the program.
The Ravens finished the season with a 16-28 overall record, with an 8-12 record in league play. The team finished 8th in the KJCCC Division 2 conference standings, and qualified for the Region Tournament for the first time in nine seasons as the No. 8 seed.
In the tournament, the team took eventual Region 6 champion Johnson County to extra-innings, losing a classic 9-8 in 10 innings.
Coffeyville featured one of the league's top offenses, hitting .318 as a group with 28 home runs. Outfielder Raya Eilert finished third in the conference with a .463 batting average along with seven home runs and 45 runs batted in. Emma Lara hit .388 in her freshman season with 38 runs batting in, while Kaylee Henderson finished among the conference leaders in extra base hits, finishing with 11 home runs and 11 doubles with a .333 batting average.
Six Ravens earned all-conference recognition, with Eilert being first-team all-KJCCC, and Lara, Henderson, Katelynn Siess, Rylee Bankston, and Gabrielle Simmons all earning Honorable Mention.
The team's three sophomores, Eilert, Siess, and Henderson, will all be continuing their careers at the four-year level.
The Red Ravens were one of the league's youngest rosters and will feature many of the same faces in 2027. Lara, Simmons, and Bankston will all return, along with catcher Kylee Copeland, infielder Madeline Biswell, pitcher Kaydence Pawnee, infielder Alyssa Moore, outfielder Haley Carlson, infielder Heather Mowdy, and pitcher Lily Jeffries.
