Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Volleyball Team won their ninth in a row with a 3-0 sweep over the St. Louis Community College Archers. With the victory, the Red Ravens improved their 2023 overall record to 11-7 including a 1-1 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) matchups.
Head Red Raven volleyball coach Deardin Kelley stressed to her team that she was looking for them to come out to a quick start in this one. Looks like the message was heard. The Red Ravens jumped out quickly taking the first set 25-17, the second set 25-16, and finished off the sweep of the Archers with a 25-17 third set victory.
Leaders for Coffeyville in the match include freshman Madison Grekstas with 10 kills, freshman Olivia Murphy with 13 assists, and sophomore Alyssa Apel with 17 digs.
Coffeyville will return to action on Wednesday, September 20th with a home KJCCC match against the Blue Devils of Kansas City Community College. First-serve is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. in Nellis Gymnasium.
