Coffeyville, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Men's Soccer Team opened up their 2025 home season with a convincing 4-0 defeat of Northern Oklahoma College - Enid. With the victory, Coffeyville's early-season record moves to 2-0.
From the opening whistle, Coffeyville set the tone, with Red Raven sophomore Jacob Shaw opening the scoring early in the first half at the 15-minute mark, assisted by sophomore Kanata Takahashi. The team continued to press, adding two more goals in the second half: Freshman Thomas Montero unassisted at 47 minutes, and freshman Reo Suzuki at 51 minutes, assisted by freshman Ello Junior. The final goal came late in the game at 85 minutes when freshman Ashton Haslam found the net with a pass from sophomore Hugo Martins, sealing the victory.
Defensively, Coffeyville was solid, limiting Enid to just five shots throughout the match and making three saves, all by sophomore goalkeeper Ryuta Mitome, who earned a clean sheet.
Coffeyville will return to action on Wednesday, August 27th, with a 4 p.m. kick-off in Veterans Memorial Stadium against the Beavers of Pratt Community College.
