Coffeyville, Kan. - On pink-out night in celebration of Cancer Awareness, The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Volleyball Team lost 3-0 to the #3 NJCAA-ranked Cowley Tigers. With the loss, the Red Ravens' overall record moves to 24-8 including a 4-4 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference matches. The 4-4 KJCCC mark currently has the Red Ravens in fifth place in the ten-team KJCCC East.
Even though the Red Ravens seemed to be playing with increased energy facing the #3 NJCAA ranked Tigers, Coffeyville just did not have an answer for the Tigers. Coffeyville dropped the first set 25-15 and the second set 25-16. During the third set, the Red Ravens had multiple impressive digs but still dropped the third set 25-16 and the match 3-0.
Coffeyville will hit the road to finish off its regular season with road trips to Kansas City Missouri on Friday, October 21st to face Metropolitan Community College and to Fort Scott Kansas on Wednesday, October 26th. Game time in Kansas City Missouri on Friday (Oct 21st) is set for 6:00 pm.
