Parsons, Kan. - The Coffeyville Community College Red Raven Women's Volleyball team earned their 18th victory of the year with a 3-1 defeat of the Labette Cardinals. With the win, the Red Ravens' overall record improves to 18-7 including a 4-3 record in Kansas Jayhawk Community College Conference (KJCCC) matches. The 4-3 KJCCC record currently has Coffeyville in fourth place in the 10-team KJCCC East Division.
The Ravens started out slow dropping the first set to the Cardinals 25-20. However, Coffeyville was able to rebound ripping off three sets in a row winning 25-13, 25-19, and 25-21 for the 3-1 match victory.
Coffeyville will return to action this weekend with a Tri-Match scheduled in Nellis East on Saturday, Oct 8th with an 11:00 am match against Rose State and a 3:00 pm match against the Greyhounds of Fort Scott.
